Fall is upon us, and at New Hope the changing of the seasons marks a special time in the life of our school. Over the next few weeks, the New Hope community will be shifting our focus outwardly- towards those in need. A tradition dating back several years, our annual Amazing Grace Campaign prompts our student body and their families to share with the least of these, both locally and globally. Led by our Dean of Students, Ms. Cecilia Bell, students spend weeks collecting toys, foods, and toiletries to be shared with new friends at Memphis’ Alpha Omega Faith Home and Wesley Highland Manor, and to under-resourced children across the globe via Operation Christmas Child. Last year, our children’s worldviews were expanded as they witnessed the reactions of people who received their gifts. And in Chapel, the students later learned that our dozens of gift boxes were distributed as a blessing to needy children in Ukraine and Madagascar. May this year’s campaign be no less rewarded and enriching!
We hope that our school will continue to bless others in the name of Jesus, who said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me … whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
The New Hope community has been blessed to be a blessing!
