Jada Flake (ECS) was involved with National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and is a National Achievement Finalist. She was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Fellowship Student Ministries, Project Ready, ECS Marching, and ECS Concert Band. She tutored both students and adults throughout high school, interned at Urban Foot Care, and worked at Kroger. Her volunteer experience included time at the Red Cross and organizing a service project for ECS and exchange students from Mexico to serve at New Hope’s Garden Day. She says, “As I head for college, I am thankful for the basics that I received at New Hope – not just reading and math skills but the difficult task of learning to learn. New Hope graciously supports me as I continue to learn.” Jada is a recipient of the George B. Floyd Scholarship and has received a full scholarship to Brown University where she is attending this fall.
