Deborah Wiles is a master at crafting a humorous story from even in the face of sadness. In her stories, readers see that the even in the saddest of times, tomorrow brings another day and it is possible to always find something to be grateful for and to smile about.
Mrs. Wiles characters never fail to capture me as a reader. They are full and well-rounded and I always feel as if I could call them up on the phone and carry out a conversation with them. Ruby Lavender and her grandmother Miss Eula, the main characters in today’s spring break read, Love, Ruby Lavender, did not let me down. I loved getting to know them and to learn more about the town that I first read about in Each Little Bird that Sings.
If you like light quick feel good reads with some substance, you can’t go wrong with a Deborah Wiles book.
