Teacher Feature: Mr. Coulston Recommends The Strange Case of Origami Yoda

Mr. Coulston, New Hope’s fifth grade math teacher,  highly recommends The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger to students who enjoy funny, but realistic books about surviving life in middle school.  He says the story is told from multiple viewpoints and shows that the awkwardness that attacks middle school students is not a unique experience, but one that almost every student feels.  Kemen R., one of Mr. Coulston’s students, added his recommendation saying, “I really liked the book.  It was funny, but serious at the same time.”

Mr. Coulston liked the book so much, he was inspired to create this book trailer.

The entire series — The Strange Case of Origami YodaDarth Paper Strikes Back, and The Secret of the Fortune Wookie — will be arriving in the New Hope library very soon.  Be sure to check out the Origami Yoda series and let Mr. Coulston know what you THINKI
